There Will Be Links!

Not a whole lot of time for posting today, so I’m going to just drop a few of the cooler links I’ve found lately on you guys and gals.

  • There Will Be Blood: Sculpting in Time – Jim Emerson makes a few great points about one of 2007′s best films (There Will Be Blood) while referencing David Bordwell’s “Hands (and faces) across the table” article. Some actual film analysis on the net (not something you see every day, huh?) and some really well constructed points about how Paul Thomas Anderson uses his characters to create motion in his scenes.
  • Tom Blunt mentions the Martijn Hendriks artistic project of removing all the birds from Hitchcock’s The Birds. I guess it’s an interesting idea, but really…why bother? Leave Hitchcock alone already. Gus Van Sant already screwed up one of his flicks.
  • Mac rocks the house by reminding us that Casey Weldon has some killer art on sale for the insanely low price of $15!! Get it now!

That’s it for now. Getting ready to hit the diner with wifesnake. And, as we all know, NJ + Diner = Mmmmm!
