Friday the 13th Remake Trailer is Online!

See, I’m not a remake-hater. There are people out there that just think remakes are a complete waste of time, no matter if they end up being good or not.

Sure, there are some really bad remakes out there (e.g. When a Stranger Calls and Prom Night are two good examples), but there are also some really killer remakes as well (e.g. the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead and Marcus Nispel’s remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre just to name a few).

Let’s get something straight. The original versions of Dawn of the Dead and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre are in my Top 10 Movies of All Time. I’m not talking just horror movies; I’m talking ALL movies. That’s how much I love them.

And, yet, I still love the remakes. So what’s my point with all this? My point is that there are tons of people out there crying about the forthcoming Marcus Nispel remake of Friday the 13th, but I’m not one of them. I actually think this first teaser trailer is pretty damn cool.

You can choose for yourself, I guess, but I really dig it. And I’ll be damned if I’m not stoked for the finished product coming in 2009.

EDITED TO ADD: And just as a little PS, this new trailer just hit the web today too. It’s for My Bloody Valentine 3D and it looks… Intersting, to say the least…
