Rainy Movie Saturday

Wifesnake and I have been sitting around today, mostly watching movies and eating junk, and listening to the rain tap tap tap on the windows as it comes down outside.

We watched The Strangers on Blu-ray, which freaked her out pretty badly. I didn’t love the flick, but it was a nice slow-burn of a terror film that was so clearly based on (but nowhere near) “true events.” You can google around and find out what the real story behind the movie is, but all that doesn’t really matter too much. Solid performance by Liv Tyler and a full creep-factor are what make it worth watching.

After The Strangers, I decided to pop in the Blu-ray of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Wifesnake wasn’t really that into it at first – even though she absolutely loves the original Indy trilogy – but after about a half-hour, she started really getting into it and by the end she was rooting all the way for her imaginary BF Shia.

A pretty fun day, but now I need to go put some books back on the bookshelf and write a bit before relaxing in bed. I’m pretty stoked about the UFC event tonight, but we shall see how it stacks up.
