baby lesson #1: pwned by formula!

It’s been just over a week now since baby Skylar came into the world and basically turned my (and my wife’s) life upside down with all the happy, sleepless goodness. I’ve just now started to learn a few things along the way, so I thought it’d be fun to document them here from time to time.

**Baby Lesson #1

Babies don’t like their formula cold.

Okay, now this might be obvious to some people and there are probably a ton of moms out there just shaking their heads, but I can’t imagine why babies don’t like their formula cold. It just doesn’t seem right. They actually like it lukewarm. Blech!

The first time I went to feed the baby a bottle, I had to ask my wife if I should put it in the ‘fridge for a while first. I just assumed since, you know, I like my chocolate milk cold that baby Skylar might like hers a little chilled.

Man, was I wrong. Totally pwned by the wife and her gut-busting laugh as the question rolled off my tongue.

So, let this be a lesson to you, all future fathers. Baby Lesson #1 = Babies don’t like their formula cold!

Go figure…
