Damn right you should be embarrassed for having not seen Piranha 3D. :P

  • Scott Neumyer

I know, I know. I’ll be there getting the Blu-ray on release date! :)

  • Cleemckenziebooks

I’m woefully behind in all things movie or TV, so I’ll just copy your list and try to to see some. I did see How to Train Your Dragon, so there’s a plus on my side. But you put it at the top? Hmmm. I’ll let you know what I think about that after I see some more. Obviously, I’m not qualified as a critic.

  • Scott Neumyer

OH, I hope it’s a good list for you to go off! You’ll find some real gems in there. I LOVE LOVE How to Train Your Dragon. Unabashedly!

Dude. Dear John. nnIt came on one of our movie channels the other night & I gave it a shot specifically because it made your cut of “surprises,” and…. Dude. Not good. It didn’t make me angry the way some other bad movies did this year, but it was a pretty limp, lifeless showcase of bad acting & predictable storytelling. I understand guilty pleasures like Nicholas Sparks (I read Nora Roberts schlock on my vacations–I have no shame), but without the fire & chemistry Rachel & Ryan had in The Notebook, I feel like they kind of fall flat on screen.nnFun lists, tho! I’m wishing I’d added a few more to mine now. :)

I know… I know… I’m getting a lot of heat for my DEAR JOHN pick, but I gotta be honest. It tugged the heartstrings a little. I also enjoy NIGHTS IN RODANTHE and LIFE AS A HOUSE. I can’t help it. LOL
