Since I started getting healthier on April 6th, I’d never missed more than two days in a row of exercise. That is, until last week when I came down with some wacky stomach bug. That thing put me out of commission for five days! I was itching to get back to running, but part of me was dreading it as well.
When I got back from my run today, I decided to make a quick video. Check it out.
I didn’t have much interest in The Social Network until I heard that David Fincher would be directing it. Even with him on board, I was still kind of lukewarm about it.
Then Sony released the first trailer and I have to admit being completely won over. It’s a hell of an understated, exciting trailer.

My good buddy, Andrew Auseon, just released his brand new book into the world and it’s hella good! The reviews have all been raves, people!

I still can’t believe that I was almost 300 pounds at one point.
I started on my journey to getting healthier on 4/6/10. Since then, I’ve lost over twenty pounds and I just feel so much better overall.
Here’s a picture I took near the beginning of my weight loss (it’s post workout so I’m sweaty):

Twenty pounds doesn’t seem like that much when I say it to myself, but looking at these pictures, you can definitely see at least a bit of a difference.
It feels great! Now I just need to keep it up. I still have another fifty pounds to lose!

THE MIDDLE GRADE NOVEL IS DONE!!!
Me = a very happy and very tired boy right now.

Man, it feels so good.

Let’s get right into it: The Friday Five!
1) I’ve been banned from Twittering by my good buddy Dave White until I finish my Middle Grade novel. Granted, it’s for my own good but man am I itching to tweet!
2) The good news is that I’m making GREAT progress and probably only have about 7,000 more words or so to write. I’m hoping to finish it this weekend!
3) Carrie Ryan’s THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH has been fast-tracked for Hollywood! This is awesome news for several reasons, but mostly because…well… It’s about zombies!!
4) I got my wife the BEST Mother’s Day gift for her first Mother’s Day. Trust me on this. Wait until I can show it to you.
5) I got True Blood: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray in the mail today. Can’t wait to watch it again with all the extra features!
